Lynn Hanson’s work emanates from her constant attention and visceral connection to the natural world. Paintings, oil on panel, are spare evocations of time spent at the sea. Drawing satisfies her compulsion for keen looking and dogged mark making: one perpetual portrait series documents artists, another is "Pull of the Sea", eight footdrawings of swimmers and surfers, and ongoing, crow and rattler drawings on vellum and vintage maps.
